Diagnosing and treating your injuries requires a dynamic combination of caring professionals. OSC is led by Dr. Raul Marquez, Dr. Sergio Rodriguez, and Dr. Rosario Parra. Dr. Marquez' main clinical interests are in Sports Medicine and in the total reconstruction of the joints. Dr. Sergio Rodriguez specializes in injuries and disorders afflicting the hands, wrists, forearms and elbows. Dr. Rosario Parra is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and consults with our surgical candidates prior to surgery.
Sports Medicine
Sports medicine is a subspecialty that can be found within orthopedics. It involves a variety of specialties that focus in the prevention and in the treatment of injuries related to sports. Treatment applies to any form of muscle, joint, ligament, tendon, and/or bone injury. The most common sports related injuries we treat are ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder dislocation, tennis elbow, bursitis, wrist ligament injuries and fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
Arthritis Diagnosis and Treatment
There are more than 100 forms of arthritis. Symptoms include inflammation, pain, and stiffness of the joints. Osteoarthritis is the most common form affecting joints such as the knee, hand, wrist, neck, back, and hip.

Workers Compensation Injuries
Workers' compensation is an insurance program that pays your medical bills if you are injured at work or have a work-related illness. A report of injury should be submitted by your employer. All workers' compensation claims will be verified with the carrier prior to receiving treatment.
Independent Medical Examinations
Independent Medical Exams (IME) are evaluations conducted to determine a worker's condition. Diagnosis determine whether a worker has reached maximum benefit from treatment or if any permanent impairment remains. IMEs are usually requested by the employer or an insurance carrier addressing issues regarding compensation.
Maximum Medical Improvements
Maximum Medical Improvement exam is another form of evaluation to determine if an employee's injury has reached its maximum medical improvement. The rating helps determine the employee's ability to return to work and addresses issues regarding compensation.
