Meet Dr. Sergio Rodriguez

Dr. Sergio Rodriguez is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in disorders and injuries afflicting the hand, wrist, forearms and elbows.

Dr. S. Rodriguez received his medical degree in 1991 from the Universidad Catolica de Cordoba in Cordoba, Argentina & completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Dupuytren Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Rodriguez subsequently moved to the United States in 2002 where he completed a General Surgery Residency at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. After his residency, he went on to complete a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Philadelphia Hand Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. S. Rodriguez has given numerous presentations on a variety of disorders affecting the upper and lower extremities. Current research interests and publications include Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity, Treatment of Symptomatic Neuromas of the Dorsal Radial Sensory Nerve using a resorbable nerve conduit, and Triplanar Osteotomies for Distal Radius Malunions. His work is awaiting publication.

Dr. S. Rodriguez is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and of the Mahoning County Medical Society.

He, along with his wife and two daughters have adopted our community as their new home.
